Chief Financial Officer

One of the largest leading retail companies in Vietnam is calling for applications for a Chief Financial Officer, based in Ho Chi Minh City.

About the Chief Financial Officer Role:

You will report to the CEO / owners of the business. Your main responsibilities are to be in charge of all finance and controls activities of the business, whilst being a trusted member to the BODs to advise on strategic planning and risk management, ensuring financially effective and stable operation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Responsible for all finance & internal control procedures, ensuring transparency and compliance in working with external parties and authorities
• Ensure all computerized systems are appropriately maintained for risk management purposes, adhering to local legal and accounting standards (IFRS and VAS)
• Cashflow projection and management; cost efficiency; manage relationship with banks
• Involve in M&A projects including market expansion; budgeting, performance management, financial planning.
• Review profit & lost appraisals for new brands / stores / pricing plan to make well-informed decisions in terms of opening/closing stores, marketing or promotions, customer loyalty programmes, staff incentive policies etc.
• Provide training to relevant departments on internal control procedures
• Other tasks as assigned by BODs

To succeed in this role, you must have good communication skills in English.

Key Requirements:

• 15+ years of experience, with solid experience in a CFO / Finance Director / Finance Controller position (3-5 years)
• Experience in either retail / E-commerce / food & beverage is a must
• Bachelor’s / Master’s Degree in Accounting, Finance or relevant field
• Professional qualifications preferred e.g. CPA, ACCA, CFA
• Deep knowledge of financial controls (budgeting, forecast, data analysis) and risk management practices
• Proficient ERP user, preferably SAP
• Strong leadership to lead a big team, with critical thinking, result-oriented and data-driven mindset
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills, work well under high pressure environment
