A leading nationwide Medical Group in Vietnam is looking for an Area CFO to look after the Mekong Delta region, ideally based in the region as well.
About the Area CFO Role:
The Area CFO will play a crucial role in managing and overseeing the financial operations of the organization in the Mekong Delta region. Reporting directly to the Group CFO, the Area CFO will provide strategic financial guidance, ensure the integrity of financial reporting, and drive effective financial decision-making. This is a senior leadership position with significant responsibilities and the opportunity to contribute to the overall success and growth of the company.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement financial strategies, plans, and budgets aligned with the organisation's goals and objectives
- Conduct financial analysis, forecasting, and scenario modelling to support strategic decision-making
- Monitor and analyse financial performance, identify areas of improvement, and provide recommendations to enhance profitability and operational efficiency
- Ensure timely and accurate preparation of financial statements, reports, and analysis in compliance with applicable accounting standards and regulations
- Oversee internal controls, financial policies, and procedures to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance with internal and external requirements
- Collaborate with auditors and regulatory authorities for financial audits, tax filings, and compliance matters
- Lead the annual budgeting process, working closely with department heads to develop budget plans, monitor budget utilisation, and provide variance analysis
- Implement cost management initiatives, identify cost-saving opportunities, and drive efficiency improvements throughout the organisation
- Assess financial risks, develop risk mitigation strategies, and ensure appropriate controls are in place.
- Monitor market trends, economic indicators, and industry benchmarks to proactively identify potential risks and opportunities
- Provide leadership and guidance to the finance team, fostering a high-performance culture, and ensuring professional development opportunities
- Mentor and coach team members, promoting collaboration, and maintaining a positive work environment
To succeed in this role, you must have good communication skills in English.
Key Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field. A Master's degree or professional certification (CPA, CMA) is preferred
- Proven experience (at least eight -10 years) in finance and accounting, with a focus on financial management and strategic planning. Experience in the healthcare industry is highly desirable
- Strong knowledge of financial principles, accounting standards, budgeting, and financial analysis
- Excellent leadership and people management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a high-performing team
- Sound business acumen and the ability to provide strategic financial insights to support decision-making
- Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
- Proficiency in financial software applications and advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel
