Head of Finance (Global FMCG)

Our client is seeking an experienced Head of Finance (Global FMCG) to join them in Ho Chi Minh City (Vietnam). This role will act as the second-in-command to the General Manager (GM), supporting Business Unit (BU) Heads in achieving financial targets and objectives. The successful candidate will manage the company's P&L, prepare financial reports & analyses, lead budgeting & forecasting processes, and coordinate with external parties, while developing Finance team.

What you'll do:

• Collaborate with GM and BU Heads to align annual and monthly planning processes adhering to the company's goals and strategies
• Analyze, assess, and report monthly financial performance against budget, forecasts, and previous years
• Manage budgets across BUs
• Manage the company’s working capital and cash flow
• Ensure all transactions are accurately recorded in compliance with local GAAP (VAS) and IFRS
• Maintain compliance with local regulations and fulfil reporting obligations to Government authorities
• Advise on and implement tax planning strategies for the company
• Facilitate contract review and approval while evaluating associated business risks
• Supervise the company’s Information Management needs in alignment with Group’s IT Guidelines
• Lead internal and external audits
• Support team growth and development through training initiatives

What you'll bring:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting Finance, preferably with MBA Degree or Professional Certificates such as ACCA, CPA, CFA.
• At least 15 years’ work experience including 3-5 years in Management roles inclusive of Head of Finance capacity.
• Proven track record at large multinational companies in FMCG and/or Pharmaceuticals sector.
• Strong experience as a Commercial Finance Business Partner.
• Good knowledge of IFRS and VAS, as well as Microsoft Office applications.
• Strong leadership skills with solid senior stakeholder management ability; mature and sharp.
• Ability to manage tight deadlines and work well under pressure.
• Strong business acumen with excellent communication skills in both Vietnamese and English.
