What you'll do:

• Develop and implement comprehensive financial strategies for Vietnam that align with global objectives, including budgeting, forecasting, and establishing key performance indicators.
• Advise senior leadership on critical decisions related to market entry, pricing strategies, growth potential, and profit-and-loss management.
• Design and set up accounting systems, policies, and internal controls tailored to Vietnamese regulations and business needs.
• Lead statutory reporting processes and ensure full tax compliance by liaising with external auditors and tax consultants as required by local law.
• Define internal control frameworks that safeguard assets and support transparent financial operations across all business units.
• Produce detailed monthly and quarterly performance reports for both regional and global stakeholders to inform strategic decision-making.
• Maintain accurate cashflow forecasts while optimising working capital management to support ongoing business activities.
• Oversee banking operations including foreign exchange exposure management and payment processing to ensure efficient treasury operations.
• Recruit, mentor, and develop a high-performing finance team as the business grows, fostering excellence in reporting, analysis, and cross-functional collaboration.

What you bring:

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting is required; holding CPA or ACCA qualifications is highly desirable for this role.
• At least ten years’ experience in finance roles within Big Four firms or sectors such as FMCG, consumer electronics or retail is essential.
• Comprehensive understanding of Vietnamese accounting standards alongside strong knowledge of local tax laws; experience with IFRS is advantageous.
• Outstanding communication skills in both English and Vietnamese are necessary; you should be comfortable presenting complex information to senior leaders.
• A proactive mindset characterised by adaptability and hands-on problem-solving abilities is vital for thriving amid ambiguity typical of startup environments.
