Finance Supervisor - Remote

A food and beverage retail chain are calling for applications for a Finance Supervisor based in HCMC but working fully remotely.

About the Finance Supervisor Role:

The Finance Supervisor ensures all accounting activities of the company are recorded properly according to the Vietnamese Accounting Standards and presents management reports according to the group’s requirements. You will prepare asset, liability, and equity account entries by compiling and analysing account information. Documents financial transactions by entering account information.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage day-to-day accounting transactions (e.g. AR, AP, Fixed Assets, Inventory) for various branches
• Review of cash requisition forms (CRFs) received and process accounts payable vouchers (APV), check preparation (C&P) vouchers in coordination finance HQ
• Reconcile accounts payable and receivable accounts
• Prepare financial statements on timely and accurate manner (monthly, quarterly and annual closing activities)
• Coordinates with Finance HQ for reportorial requirements
• Reinforce financial data confidentiality and conduct database backups
• Ensuring timely accounting entries and supporting creation of financial statements
• Ensuring timely payments of obligations and collection of receivables
• Close coordination with local compliance partner to ensure fulfilment of tax obligations
• Compute taxes and prepare tax returns based on Vietnamese Tax Laws, including but not limited to VAT, withholding tax and yearly corporate income tax
• Assist in the preparation and monitoring of AP Aging, AR Aging and Collection Forecast
• Supporting F&B Finance Head for establishing and enforcing financial and accounting policies and procedures, recommending actions

To succeed in this role, you must have good communication skills in English.

Key Requirements:

• Three to five years’ experience in finance, accounting, and financial reporting, preferably from F&B / restaurant industry
• Excellent knowledge of accounting regulations and procedures, including Vietnam Accounting Standards (VAS), Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) or International Financial Accounting Standards (IFRS)
• Familiarity on Vietnam Tax Laws and Compliance
• English working proficiency level both in verbal and written
• Strong business acumen, critical thinking and analytical skills
• Self-driven and exceptionally detail-oriented
