Chief Accountant

Our client is an FDI company with nearly 30 years of history, a market leader in furniture manufacturing with factories across several provinces in Vietnam. The company is well-recognized for its international standards in production and sustainable growth. They are now looking for an experienced Chief Accountant to oversee all accounting and financial operations at their Vinh Long plant.

What You’ll Do

1. Financial & Accounting Management

• Lead and control all accounting operations including AR, AP, GL, costing, and fixed assets.

• Ensure the accuracy and timeliness of monthly, quarterly, and annual closings.

• Review and approve all accounting vouchers, journal entries, and financial reports.

2. Compliance & Audit

• Ensure compliance with Vietnam Accounting Standards (VAS), tax regulations, and company policies.

• Coordinate with internal and external auditors during audit and inspection periods.

• Review tax reports (VAT, CIT, PIT, FCT, etc.) and ensure timely and accurate submissions.

3. Reporting & Analysis

• Prepare accurate financial statements and management reports.

• Provide financial analysis and insights to support business planning and cost optimization.

4. Team Leadership

• Lead, coach, and develop the accounting team (AR, AP, GL, Costing, Tax).

• Evaluate team performance and drive continuous improvement in accounting processes.

5. System & Process Improvement

• Strengthen internal control systems and standardize accounting processes.

• Support ERP implementation or system upgrades when required.

What You’ll Need

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related fields.

• 7–10 years of experience in accounting, including at least 3 years in a managerial role.

• Strong knowledge of VAS, tax regulations, and cost accounting in manufacturing environments.

• Proficiency in English for internal and external communication.

• Excellent leadership, analytical thinking, and communication skills.
