Head of Accounting (Global Industrial Company)

Based in Hanoi, reporting to the CFO whilst working closely with the Regional Finance Director based overseas, dotted line to the General Manager here in Vietnam, the Head of Accounting will oversee core Accounting functions - leading statutory and IFRS financial reporting and driving process improvements using ERP and AI tools, to ensure compliance, accuracy, and strategic insights across financial operations.

What you'll do:

- Manage monthly closings, financial reporting, and consolidation processes
- Prepare reporting packages aligned with local and international standards
- Support cash flow planning and treasury activities
- Oversee general ledger, tax compliance, and project-related accounting
- Supervise AP/AR, payroll, inventory, and fixed assets
- Lead and develop the accounting team
- Streamline accounting processes and ensure policy compliance
- Deliver annual financial statements and tax reports
- Collaborate with internal and external auditors
- Ensure regulatory compliance with local authorities
- Identify and implement AI-driven solutions for forecasting and reporting
- Provide financial analysis and strategic insights to support decision-making

What you bring:

- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance; professional certification such as ACCA, CPA etc. highly preferred
- At least 15 years' work experience in multinational company; with Big 4 Audit experience required
- Strong knowledge of VAS, IFRS, and local tax regulations
- Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g. Oracle) as well as in Excel and PowerPoint
- Strong analytical and leadership skills, excellent communication in both Vietnamese and English
