Chief Accountant - Chinese Speaker (Manufacturing | Long An)

An international manufacturing group in the apparel industry is looking for a Chief Accountant to support its growing operation in Long An. This role reports directly to the Finance Manager and plays a key part in ensuring accurate accounting records, compliance, and smooth financial operations for the Vietnam entity.

What You’ll Do

• Report directly to the Finance Manager and the Head of Manufacturing Finance (Hong Kong).

• Lead a team of 4 accounting staff and ensure high-quality daily operations.

• Review and verify all vouchers and supporting documents before posting into the accounting system.

• Ensure accurate and complete accounting records, including fixed assets, inventory, and other financial data.

• Execute authorised payments approved by the General Manager or the holding company.

• Reconcile monthly cash and bank transactions to ensure accuracy of inflow and outflow.

• Prepare and submit monthly management accounts, including detailed analysis of key figures.

• Prepare and update P&L budgets (April–September and October–March).

• Collect and update monthly sales forecasts.

• Liaise with local banks and update the holding company on banking facilities and related matters.

• Work with external auditors for interim and annual audits, tax filing, and company secretarial requirements.

• Ensure compliance with Vietnamese accounting, tax, and statutory regulations, as well as international requirements.

• Review financial policies and recommend improvements for cost control and operational efficiency.

• Handle ad-hoc assignments and other duties as required.

What You’ll Need

• Good communication skills in Chinese; English is a strong advantage.

• Chief Accountant Certificate.

• 3–5 years of experience as a Chief Accountant or in senior finance roles.

• Experience in manufacturing, preferably in garment, textile, footwear, or export-driven industries.

• Strong analytical skills, high attention to detail, and solid understanding of Vietnamese accounting & tax laws and garment manufacturing processes.
