Chief Accountant (Manufacturing based in Long An)

Our client is a well-established international sports footwear manufacturer with large-scale operations across Asia. Their Vietnam factory in Long An plays a key role in the group’s regional supply chain. They are now looking for a hands-on Chief Accountant to lead the accounting function, ensure strong tax and statutory compliance, and support business operations. This position reports directly to the CFO.

What You’ll Do

• Lead and supervise the accounting team to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting

• Prepare and review statutory reports and tax filings including VAT, CIT, PIT, and transfer pricing documentation

• Manage tax audits, inspections, and communication with local tax authorities and external auditors

• Oversee manufacturing cost accounting including raw materials, WIP, finished goods, and production variance analysis

• Support financial analysis for management, including cost control and cash flow planning

• Participate in the implementation and improvement of the SAP accounting system (FI/CO)

• Ensure compliance with Vietnamese Accounting Standards (VAS) and relevant tax regulations

What You’ll Need

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field

• Minimum 8–10 years of accounting experience, preferably in large manufacturing companies

• At least 5 years in a Chief Accountant or Accounting Manager role

• Strong knowledge of Vietnam tax regulations and VAS

• Experience handling tax audits and working with local authorities

• Hands-on experience with SAP (FI/CO) is highly preferred

• Strong leadership and communication skills

• Fluent English (Chinese is a plus)
