The successful candidate will serve as a trusted advisor, providing strategic financial oversight and contributing to the growth of the business. What you'll do:

As a Business Finance Controller, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the financial strategy of our client's healthcare division. Your excellent problem-solving skills will be put to use as you navigate complex financial challenges, provide strategic advice, and ensure robust fiscal oversight. You will collaborate with various business units to develop strategic plans while overseeing operational planning focused on sales, profit and loss, working capital, and capital investments. Your keen eye for detail will be crucial in generating accurate financial analyses and forecasts. This role offers an exciting opportunity to lead projects involving operational model updates, reorganizations, and business integrations.

  • Serve as the Financial Controlling Partner and Navigator for the Country Healthcare Division.
  • Team up with local and regional groups to formulate strategy and enforce robust fiscal oversight.
  • Provide an independent viewpoint as a trusted adviser to both the Country Healthcare unit and APAC Regional Management.
  • Accurately reflect the business’s financial condition for current and future periods.
  • Share accountability for the business while advising management on risk mitigation and growth prospects.
  • Collaborate with business units to develop and execute strategic and country brand plans.
  • Oversee operational planning focused on sales, profit and loss, working capital, and capital investments.
  • Assess the financial implications of business cases, investment prospects, and resource allocation choices.
  • Generate monthly and quarterly financial analyses.
  • Construct and update rolling as well as year-end forecasts.

What you bring:

The ideal candidate for the Business Finance Controller role brings a wealth of experience in finance or controlling, coupled with a strong educational background in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, or Economics. Your familiarity with matrix organizations and senior leadership experience will be invaluable in this role. A background in the pharmaceutical industry is a bonus but not essential. You possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, enabling you to manage complex challenges alongside BU Heads and General Managers. Your ability to convert business discussions into financial insights and distill complex data into clear narratives sets you apart. Additionally, your proactive nature allows you to spot strategic financial gaps and recommend solutions.

  • Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, or Economics.
  • 8–10 years of experience in Finance or Controlling.
  • Familiarity with matrix organizations; senior leadership experience is an advantage.
  • Background in the pharmaceutical industry is a bonus.
  • Demonstrated leadership to manage complex challenges alongside BU Heads and General Managers.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and change management skills.
  • Ability to convert business discussions into financial insights and distill complex data into clear narratives.
  • Proactive in spotting strategic financial gaps and recommending solutions.
  • Project management expertise is beneficial.
  • Fluent in English.
