Our client is seeking a dedicated and experienced Finance and Accounting Manager to oversee all financial and accounting operations at their factory located in the vibrant city of Vung Tau. The successful candidate will be instrumental in guiding department managers, monitoring performance, preparing monthly forecasts, and providing insightful financial reports for decision-making and strategic planning.

What you'll do:

As the Finance & Accounting Manager in our client's manufacturing facility in Vung Tau, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the company's financial future. Your primary responsibilities will include leading annual budgeting processes linked to business goals, guiding department managers while monitoring performance against these goals. You will also be responsible for preparing comprehensive financial statements while providing valuable insights through your reports that aid decision-making and strategic planning. Your expertise in developing financial policies will be crucial in maintaining internal controls while ensuring regulatory compliance. As part of your role, you will also manage cost accounting data within the ERP system while analysing manufacturing costs to identify variances. Your leadership skills will be put to good use as you supervise the finance team while fostering a supportive work environment.

  • Lead and coordinate annual budgeting linked to business goals
  • Guide department managers, monitor performance, and prepare monthly forecasts
  • Prepare and analyse financial statements including income, balance sheets, cash flow
  • Provide financial reports and insights for decision-making and strategic planning
  • Develop and implement financial policies and procedures
  • Maintain internal controls, ensure regulatory compliance, and oversee audits
  • Manage cost accounting and ERP data
  • Analyse manufacturing costs, report variances, and estimate new product costs
  • Oversee accounts payable, receivable, and general ledger maintenance
  • Supervise and support the finance and accounting team

What you bring:

The ideal candidate for the Finance & Accounting Manager role will bring a wealth of experience in financial management, particularly within the manufacturing sector. You will have a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance, with an MBA or relevant professional qualifications such as CPA or CFA being highly desirable. Your 7+ years of financial management experience, including at least 4 years in a leadership role, will be crucial to your success in this position. Your strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial regulations, standards (VAS, IFRS, GAAP), cost accounting principles and practices will be put to good use in this role. Proficiency in financial management systems, cost accounting software and ERP systems is essential. A strong understanding of Bill of Materials (BOM) structures and calculations, costing methods and cost roll processes is also required. Strong leadership skills and fluency in English are also key requirements.

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance required
  • MBA or Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) is preferred
  • 07+ years of financial management experience with a minimum of 04+ years of people management experience
  • Experience in food manufacturing is preferred
  • Proven experience in finance and accounting roles with a focus on financial reporting and analysis
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial regulations, standards (VAS, IFRS, GAAP), cost accounting principles and practices
  • Proficiency in financial management systems, cost accounting software and ERP systems
  • Understanding of Bill of Materials (BOM) structures and calculations, costing methods and cost roll processes
  • Strong leadership and team management abilities
  • Fluent in English written and verbal skills is a plus
