A leading multinational B2B organisation in Ho Chi Minh is seeking a Finance Manager to guide and nurture its local finance team, ensuring the highest standards of financial integrity and compliance. This is an exceptional opportunity for you to make a significant impact by shaping financial systems, processes, and reporting within a supportive and inclusive environment.

What you'll do:

As Finance Manager, you will play a pivotal role in guiding the local finance team through complex challenges while maintaining robust financial controls. Your day-to-day activities will involve close collaboration with both local leaders and regional stakeholders as you oversee all aspects of accounting, tax compliance, statutory reporting, credit management, treasury operations, internal controls, planning cycles, and more. You will be responsible for ensuring that all financial data is accurate and compliant with international standards while supporting business decisions through insightful analysis. By fostering open communication channels between teams at every level of the organisation, you will help drive continuous improvement in processes that safeguard assets and optimise cash flow. Your ability to lead budgeting cycles, manage audits efficiently, implement best practices in ERP systems usage, and deliver actionable insights will be crucial for success in this role.

  • Coordinate and review the structure and composition of the local finance team, supervising changes in alignment with both local management and corporate controlling guidelines.
  • Define job profiles and tasks for finance and accounting positions, managing recruitment phases for new hires in accordance with group policies while assessing professional standards.
  • Set annual performance targets for the finance team in agreement with local hierarchy, assigning priorities and evaluating achievements based on group objectives.
  • Facilitate clear communication between local management and headquarters to ensure effective information flow, raising awareness of potential risks or concerns within the company.
  • Implement company guidelines and priorities agreed with corporate controlling, regularly updating management on progress towards key milestones.
  • Supervise all aspects of accounting, tax, and statutory duties by ensuring accuracy and integrity of financial records in compliance with both group principles and country regulations.
  • Liaise with external auditors to monitor year-end audit procedures for statutory financial statements and group consolidation packages, ensuring deadlines are met.
  • Oversee full utilisation of ERP accounting systems and procedures according to mandates set by headquarters, guaranteeing proper application of group policies.
  • Deliver timely, accurate reports on company financial performance to provide strategic advice to both local and HQ management in achieving long-term targets.
  • Lead annual budgeting as well as monthly/quarterly forecasting processes for the company, providing finance input to local management during budget development.

What you bring:

  • Solid background in accounting principles including financial reporting, budgeting processes, tax compliance requirements, internal controls frameworks, and treasury management best practices.
  • University degree in Accounting or Finance is required; an MBA qualification would be highly appreciated for this position.
  • At least 10 years of experience in a similar finance manager role within a multinational environment where cross-cultural collaboration is valued.
  • Excellent analytical skills combined with strong communication abilities that enable you to present complex information clearly to diverse audiences.
  • Proficiency in English (oral and written) is essential for effective interaction across international teams.
  • Demonstrated orientation towards supporting business needs proactively through collaborative problem-solving approaches.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel as well as other ERP systems relevant to large-scale financial operations.
  • Ability to supervise credit management processes including receivables collection while controlling exposure risks according to group policies.
  • Experience leading annual budgeting cycles along with monthly/quarterly forecasting activities aligned with organisational goals.
  • Capacity to continually assess existing control systems for weaknesses while implementing measures that mitigate risk throughout the organisation.
