Financial Controller

An exciting Financial Controller job has arisen in a leading entertainment company in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam.

About the Financial Controller Role:

The Financial Controller will work closely with the company's leadership team and cross-functional stakeholders to support the business in making strategic and management decisions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee the full controllership function managing finance and accounting operations
• Manage regular closing process, collaborating with the regional and group finance teams on monthly reporting, balance sheet review, etc.
• Lead cash flow management and liaise with group treasury and regional finance team on cash requirement and solutions
• Lead tax filing and planning, liaising with group tax and regional finance team for tax matters
• Strive to develop cost efficiency strategies
• Supervise and monitor day-to-day operation of the finance team and finance shared service centre
• Drive planning, along with the monthly forecasting cycle and annual budgeting
• Implement FP&A initiatives and processes to drive business development and performance
• Provide ongoing analytics on commercial and financial KPIs, articulate insights to the business leaders
• Drive the deal evaluation function to assess key financial aspects of investments, identify risk and issues, and any implications of the deals, etc.
• Support the Managing Director to formulate and execute on growth strategy and plan. Provide financial insightful analytics to drive the commercial performance
• Build collaboration and drive effective communication partnering with operational and regional teams

To succeed in this role, you must have good communication skills in English.

Key Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Finance/Accounting or related disciplines, and qualified accountant (CPA or equivalent)
• Over 10 years of strong financial and commercial experience in multinational corporations (US-GAAP), with at least five years’ managerial experience
• Commercial awareness coupled with a strategic and entrepreneurial mindset, with experience collaborating with various strategic business partners in the region
• Strong business acumen with the ability to see the big picture with an analytical and forward-looking mind set.
• Demonstrated a balanced mix of analytical and critical thinking skills, detailed mindset, diligence, fast-paced, flexibility, strategic, maturity and change management skills
• Excellent business partnering and project management skills as a team player
• Fluency in English and Vietnamese is required to work closely with the local and regional teams
