A leading European-based industrial manufacturing company is looking for a Regional Credit Controller based in Vung Tau (shuttle bus provided from HCMC).

About the Regional Credit Controller Role:

Reporting to the Global Credit Controller based overseas, this person will be responsible for all payment management and collection, as well as commercial risk controlling of the business in Vietnam and Indonesia.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise collection conditions of all sales
• Monitor commercial credit risks
• Analyse credit needs of clients and ensure credit limit is granted adhering to the company’s risk policy
• Review the current credit limits periodically
• Identify discrepancies if any and able to explain exception cases
• Manage admin process of non-payment coverage with insurance company
• Ad-hoc tasks related to non-payment or excess risk e.g. request suspension, release notice etc.
• Work with commercial teams to track payments and identify any billing issues
• Debt management, lead the regional agenda and contact clients directly for outstanding debts
• Propose negotiation of payment plans and supervise the implementation of collection effort
• Provide regular report and analysis of ongoing payment cases

To succeed in this role, you must have good communication skills in English.

Key Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting and finance
• At least five years of experience in the credit and collection department of companies with international presence
• Experience in complex billing processes and reducing the billing period
• Experience in leadership of direct and indirect resources to achieve collection goals
• Proficient with SAP
• Good communication and negotiation skills
• Excellent English skills (written and verbal)
