Head of Construction and Facilities

To serve for the expansion of business, our client - a big manufacturing group is looking for Head of Construction and Facilities to be base in Vietnam as main base with the responsibility to cover all construction & facilities in the Asia region of the group. This exciting opportunity is for both local and expat with relevant experience and preferably with someone having Vietnamese experience.

About the Head of Construction and Facilities Role:

Our client is a big manufacturing and production group with more than 20 facilities of production around Asia. The Head of Construction and Facilities shall report to Executive member of the BOD of the company and lead entire construction and facilities team in the region. The position shall be main base in Hanoi, Vietnam with frequent travel to other countries in the Asia where company have factories.

Key Responsibilities:

• New Factory building :Advise on feasibility studies, provide expert opinion on vendors’ engagement in new factory buildings
• Project manage the construction phase in accordance with the project governance as agreed by management and its subsequent handover to users
• Expansion of existing factory building
• Existing factory safety and compliance (Risks Assessment)
• Facilities management
• Development of local project management team

To succeed in this role, you must have good communication skills in English.

Key Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in building science, construction management, civil engineering, or related discipline
• Min 15 years of construction and building management in a multi-location organisation (including eight years of senior management experience)
• Member of a recognised professional institution (e.g. MICE, MIStrucE, MHKIE or equivalent)
• Preferable coming from client/ developer site with extensive experience in industrial factory building
