An exciting Manufacturing Director is available in a textile manufcaturing group in Hanoi, Vietnam. The Manufacturing Director will lead operation of member factories of the group in Vietnam.
About the Manufacturing Director Role:
The Manufacturing Director will report to BOD of the company and lead entire operations of the member factories within North area of Vietnam. The position is based nearby Hanoi, Vietnam.
Key Responsibilities:
- Responsible for management, performance, development and continuous improvement of the manufacturing unit to ensure availability of product as per market requirement and customer satisfaction
- Collaborate with business in order to analyse actual and future needs
- Define and monitor efficiency, effectiveness and success of the operations activities using adequate controlling tools
- Design and implement initiatives for improving quality and reliability
- Cost Management- Ensure effective cost Management to minimise variable cost and fixed cost, under the situation and maintain financial discipline. Plan for benchmark improvements
- Man Management- Direct / guide & ensure effective management of people to ensure enhancement of leadership skills & development of motivated and performance oriented workforce
- Safety, Health & Environment (SHE) Management. Ensure effective implementation & management of environment, health and safety measures in compliance with Govt. policies & legislation to achieve zero accidents and pollution free environment. Audit and Legal Compliance- Ensure adherence to statutory requirements related to all aspects of plant activities
- Report operations specific KPI’s to higher management and develop monetary, quality and structural targets to be achieved within a defined period.
- Identify and address problems and opportunities for the company
- Understand the importance of lean manufacturing and cost optimisation through constantly working at improving operational efficiency and maintain low wastage
- Work with the executive board to determine values and mission, and plan for short and long-term goals
- Identify and address problems and opportunities for the company
- Establish policies that promote company culture and vision
To succeed in this role, you must have good communication skills in English.
Key Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree or master's degree in a relevant discipline or MBA
- Proven experience as Manufacturing Director/ Operations Director or in other managerial position
- Knowledge about the textile industry
- Knowledge of profit and loss, balance sheet and cash flow management, and general finance and budgeting
- Ability to build consensus and relationships among executives, partners, and the workforce
- Understanding of human resources and personnel management
- Experience with corporate governance
- Proven negotiation skills
- Ability to understand new issues quickly and make wise decisions
- Ability to inspire confidence and create trust
- Ability to work under pressure, plan personal workload effectively, and delegate
- Excellent communication and public speaking skills
