Process Engineer (Newly Setup Plant)

An exciting Process Engineer job has arisen in a leading plant in Ho Chi Minh City Vietnam.

About this Process Engineer Role:

As the first Process Engineer of this newly setup plant, you will be the critical part of the team who setup & implement processes.

Key Responsibilities

• To ensure that all process engineering activities are handled professionally and effectively, assist in identifying and creating process flow maps
• Provide input and support to the PFMEA creation and updates team
• To ensure all processes are aligned with an emphasis on safety, quality, delivery and cost
• To be a key team member for implementing and sustaining lean manufacturing techniques in project fulfilment and Kaizen activities
• Understand equipment use and limitations, work with engineering and maintenance to improve; consider and investigate, propose, prepare for equipment or layouts to deliver capital projects
• Coordinate with Operations and Process Technicians any additional training of personnel
• Support Operations, Production Engineering and Process Technicians in the introduction of new product
• Coordinate with the Maintenance and Engineering Manager on any EH&S, or equipment issues
• Liaise with the Operations Manager and Engineering in support of all work areas as necessary
• Coordinate the identification of poor tooling, raise awareness to production support, ensure that investigations are thorough and tool demands are submitted for replacements, relevant BILL changes are made to qualify the requests
• For all areas, review and sign off green BOM, yellow and white MO, ensuring a permanent change is identified and recorded to implement the BILL change
• Coordinate with Production and Production Engineering to initiate rework, investigate, trial and implement initial and or long term corrective actions and changes; Coordinate and support New Product Introduction, to assist in the trialing of sample production and process evaluation
• Assist in all quality deviations identified, initiate immediate action plans, monitor output, trial and implement initial and or long term fixes and changes
• Provide support for cross functional teams on customer returns to investigate, trial and implement initial and or long term fixes and changes
• Use 6 Sigma methodology and be part of continuous improvement and change management projects

To succeed in this role, you must have good communication skills.

Key Requirements:

• HNC/HND Qualification in Mechanical/Process/Production Engineering, or a minimum of 10 years experience in a Process Engineering discipline
• 5 Years experience in process engineering, with knowledge and experience of 6 Sigma techniques, route cause analysis, elastomer production
• Good communication skills, to be able to present ideas and concepts and delegate duties to others with effective monitoring and feedback
• Excellent problem solving and analysis skills
• Ability to plan, develop and deliver projects to time, cost and conclusion
• Resolve issues in a timely and empathetic manner
• To provide training and mentoring, sharing knowledge and ideas, management of others
