Our client, a global leader in the footwear component industry, is seeking an experienced Research and Development (R&D) Manager to join their team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work on innovative projects within the foam production for shoe sock liners. What you'll do:
As an R&D Manager, you will be at the forefront of innovation in the footwear component industry. Your primary focus will be on researching and developing foam products used in shoe sock liners. You will oversee all aspects of the production process, from selecting raw materials to deploying production processes. Your expertise will be crucial in supervising product development processes, conducting thorough analyses, and improving current operations. You will also play a key role in understanding customer needs and shaping future product directions. Additionally, you will manage all stages of product experimentation, from sample creation to mass production. Your responsibilities will also include creating work manuals and providing effective training for staff.
- Research and develop foam products for shoe sock liners
- Deploy production processes and monitor adjustments accordingly
- Recommend raw material suppliers and choose effective materials for production
- Supervise product development processes and improve current operations
- Conduct analysis and evaluation activities based on product development project data
- Research customer needs and future orientations
- Manage planning and experimentation from sample making to mass production process
- Complete mixing formulas, testing methods, and test processes for approval
- Build work manuals and train related employees effectively
What you bring:
As an ideal candidate for the R&D Manager role, you bring a wealth of experience in chemistry engineering or a related field. With at least five years of experience in a similar position or as an expert in the chemical field, you have proven your ability to lead innovative projects and drive results. Your proficiency in office computer applications enables you to efficiently manage data and streamline processes. Furthermore, your good command of English allows you to communicate effectively with international teams.
- Degree in Chemistry Engineering or related field
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar position or expertise in the chemical field
- Proficiency in office computer applications
- Good command of English language
