Regional Engineering Director

The Regional Engineering Director will lead engineering strategy and execution across Asia, ensuring factories adopt future‑fit technologies and deliver projects to the highest standards. This senior leadership role requires strong technical expertise, project management capability, and the ability to influence and collaborate across multiple stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
Leadership & Strategy
- Drive engineering initiatives across regional factories, ensuring high performance and professional growth.
- Define and implement engineering strategies aligned with business objectives.
- Promote collaboration and inclusivity across diverse teams.
Project Delivery
- Oversee planning, execution, and delivery of engineering projects across Asia.
- Ensure projects meet timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
- Coordinate with cross‑functional teams for seamless integration.
Technical Excellence
- Guide factories in developing Masterplans and selecting appropriate technologies.
- Act as the central resource for technology selection and deployment.
- Support engineering teams through early project stages, particularly for high‑risk technologies.
- Identify opportunities to improve capital efficiency through innovation, vendor qualification, and productivity gains.
- Partner with R&D and planning teams to deliver savings, quality improvements, and innovation projects.
- Represent the region in global engineering networks, ensuring technology transfer and compliance with global standards.
- Lead early‑phase development of strategic projects such as acquisitions, new plants, and market entries.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Master’s preferred).
- 8–10 years of experience in Operational Management or Project Engineering within FMCG or related industries.
- At least 5 years in a leadership role.
- Proven success in delivering engineering projects through influence and collaboration.
- Strong knowledge of consumer goods processing and packaging technologies.
- Significant project/design management experience.
- Expertise in category technologies and capital project delivery.
- Fluent in English with excellent communication skills.
- Self‑driven, adaptable, and results‑oriented.
- Willingness to travel across Asia.
