VP of Production (Furniture)

An exciting VP of Production job has arisen in a leading furniture firm in Ho Chi Minh City Vietnam.

About this VP of Production Role:

Reporting to the CEO & owner, you will be looking after whole plant production activities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Direct the process of manufacturing and production and daily operations of departments to ensure production progress in line with planned schedule and responsible for achievement of committed targets as well as performance of team leaders and workers.
• Oversee and advise head of production department on efficiency, productivity, waste control/reduction, overtime, downtime and ensure on time shipment & quality products to meet customer expectation.
• Overseeing and optimising utilisation of manpower, machinery, material and other resources to deliver operation excellence
• Actively develop efficiency strategies and continuous improvement plans to meet production goals and standards at minimal manufacturing costs
• Work with team and coordinate with individuals in any new projects (related to manufacturing process).
• Analyse and monitor the production process based on statistic data/ tools, provide technical, engineering support and recommendations for improvement (to increase productivity and reduce waste)
• Ensure compliance with the company’s Internal Labour, safety regulations and policies for factory, and monitor the factory’s assets, tools and machine resources to maximise productivity and minimise downtime
• Maintain strong manufacturing line standards. Taking care of any factory-related difficulties
• Other tasks assigned by the BOD

In order to succeed this role, rich experience in management of plant production is required.

Key Requirements

• Minimum of 15 years of experience in furniture manufacturing is required
• Experience in managing large production organisation (3,000-5,000 headcounts )
• Extensive know-how on running manufacturing operations, with expertise in work-cell management, lean manufacturing and process improvement is preferred
• Proficient English communication (verbal and written skills), Vietnamese language is a plus
• Proficient MS office (Word, Excel, Access) and AutoCAD
• Working time : Monday to Saturday.
