What you'll do:

As a Senior Supplier Quality Engineer, your role will be pivotal in deploying Advanced Product Quality Planning activities with suppliers during both pilot and mass production phases. You will be instrumental in facilitating the use of Six Sigma, Lean methodologies, and various statistical tools for quality improvement projects. Your expertise will be crucial in developing FMEA, Control plans, Measurement system analysis. You will also play a key role in resolving quality issues by identifying problems, examining solution options, implementing action plans. Your ability to analyse assessment results will drive continuous improvement within the organisation.

  • Deploy Advanced Product Quality Planning activities with suppliers during pilot and mass production.
  • Facilitate and promote the use of Six Sigma, Lean, and statistical tools for quality improvement projects.
  • Establish a structured approach with suppliers for consistency and adherence to quality procedures.
  • Develop Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA), Control plans, Measurement system analysis.
  • Resolve quality issues by identifying problems, examining solution options, implementing action plans.
  • Analyze assessment, test, and inspection results to determine root cause of failures and non-conformities.
  • Work closely with service providers on surveillance audits for suppliers and sub-tier suppliers.
  • Follow up on non-conforming results from supplier audits, during-process inspection, pre-shipment inspection.
  • Manage service providers and ensure compliance to relevant requirements.
  • Use data base for analysis actions focus and develop quality improvement plan.

What you bring:

The ideal candidate for the Senior Supplier Quality Engineer position brings a wealth of experience in the supplier quality field. With a BS Technical Degree or above, you have spent at least 5 years honing your skills in this area. Your familiarity with statistical quality control tools such as FMEA, gage R&R, SPC etc., is complemented by your international operations experience and foreign language skills. Your operational experience in a manufacturing or engineering environment has equipped you with the ability to develop, review, and enforce engineering standards. A GB or BB certification would be an added advantage.

  • 5+ years working experience in supplier quality field
  • Familiarity with statistical quality control tools such as FMEA, gage R&R, SPC etc.
  • International operations experience supported by foreign language skills (oral and written)
  • Operational experience in a manufacturing or engineering environment
  • Experience with engineering standards development, review, and enforcement
  • GB or BB certification is preferred
  • Ability to work in cross-functional & global team environment
