An exciting Head of Manufacturing job has arisen in a furniture company in Ho Chi Minh City Vietnam.

About the Head of Manufacturing Role:

The production director will create and oversee policies and procedures which ensure that the productivity of the organisation is optimised. You will work with teams to make sure that processes are implemented and operated efficiently, including fulfilling order and meeting deadlines.

Key Responsibilities:

• Overseeing the workforce in the production department
• Striving to reduce expenses and increase productivity
• Ensuring that products meet quality standards and specifications
• Production planning and communication to key personnel
• Providing motivation, support and guidance to all employees
• Ensuring that all employees follow industry standard health and safety guidelines
• Creating schedules for employees to ensure optimal staffing levels
• Coaching for direct reports
• Working with production team to manage workflow, schedule and quality
• Communicating and problems and obstacles to senior management along with proposed solutions
• Propose forward plans for layouts, machinery and manpower to meet new challenges
• Set and follow ambitious production budgets
• Capture and analyse data from work-centre to plant level
• Set and oversee training, creating a culture of upskilling

To succeed in this role, you must have good communication skills in English.

Key Requirements:

• Strong leadership and coaching skills to enhance a team of ambitious young managers
• Deep knowledge of lean manufacturing, 6s, Kaizen, CI
• Broad knowledge of HR policies, metrics and systems
• University degree in relevant field
• Five + years in production management or above
• Good written and spoken English
