An exciting opportunity for an experienced Manufacturing Manager to join a leading high-volume precision parts manufacturing organization in Hanoi. This pivotal role involves overseeing production, quality assurance, and engineering functions within a dynamic 600-person environment. Key Responsibilities:

1. Leadership and Team Management

  • Lead, mentor, and develop multidisciplinary teams across Production, Quality Assurance, and Engineering departments.
  • Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  • Develop and execute training programs to enhance technical skills and professional development across all teams.
  • Manage team performance through clear KPIs, regular feedback sessions, and performance evaluations.

2. Strategic Planning and Execution

  • Develop and implement strategies for manufacturing operations aligned with business objectives.
  • Drive initiatives to improve efficiency, reduce waste, enhance productivity, and ensure cost-effectiveness across production processes.
  • Stay informed about industry trends and emerging technologies to maintain competitiveness.

3. Production Management

  • Oversee daily production activities to ensure timely delivery of high-quality products while meeting customer requirements.
  • Optimize production schedules to maximize output while minimizing downtime.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address production challenges effectively.

4. Quality Assurance

  • Ensure compliance with industry standards (e.g., ISO9001, ISO14001, IATF16949) across all manufacturing processes.
  • Work closely with QA teams to resolve quality issues promptly and implement corrective actions.
  • Establish robust systems for monitoring product quality and driving continuous improvement initiatives.

5. Engineering Optimization

  • Oversee the design, maintenance, and optimization of manufacturing processes and equipment to meet precision standards.
  • Lead root cause analysis for production issues and implement corrective actions.
  • Ensure preventative maintenance programs are effective in minimizing equipment downtime.

6. Project Management

  • Manage new product introductions, process improvements, and equipment upgrades within budget and timelines.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams (Quality Assurance, Production, Supply Chain) for seamless project execution.
  • Monitor project progress and provide updates to senior management.

7. Budget and Resource Management

  • Develop and manage budgets for labor costs, materials procurement, capital expenditures, and technology investments.
  • Evaluate investments in new technologies or equipment that enhance operational efficiency.

What You Bring:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering (Master’s preferred).
  • Minimum 15 years of experience in manufacturing operations with at least 10 years in managerial roles overseeing Production/Quality/Engineering functions within precision parts manufacturing environments.
  • Strong knowledge of precision machining techniques (e.g., CNC programming), process automation tools, lean manufacturing principles (e.g., Six Sigma), and continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Proficiency in CAD/CAM software and ERP systems.
  • Familiarity with industry certifications such as ISO9001, ISO14001, IATF16949.
  • Exceptional leadership skills with proven ability to build high-performing teams across multiple disciplines.
  • Strategic thinking combined with tactical execution capabilities.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities coupled with strong analytical skills for troubleshooting processes or equipment issues.
  • Effective communication skills in English (both written and verbal).
