Our client is seeking a Contract Manager to join their team in Quang Ngai. This role is integral to the technical and operational aspects of their Steel & Iron Making business. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing contracts and ensuring maximum value and benefit for the company. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic environment, where you'll have direct influence over key areas such as sales budget and customer relationships.

What you'll do:

As a Contract Manager, your role will be pivotal in driving the success of our client's Steel & Iron Making business. You will be tasked with managing contracts, overseeing technical issues, and implementing strategic improvement plans. Your keen eye for detail will be crucial in monitoring refractory costs, consumption, delivery, while ensuring efficient inventory stock control systems. You will also oversee all on-site management activities within your assigned area to guarantee product efficiency, quality performance, and safety control. Furthermore, you will establish performance objectives by forecasting and developing annual sales budgets for the responsible customer.

  • Create customer delight by solving problems and implementing customer relationship management.
  • Manage technical issues, observe operation issues, then devise improvement plans.
  • Determine annual plan and inventory plans by implementing development strategies, analysing assigned customer’s trend and result.
  • Monitor refractory cost, consumption, delivery, and ensure inventory stock control systems are run efficiently.
  • Oversee all on-site managing and monitoring of assigned area to ensure product efficiency, quality/performance and safety control.
  • Establish performance objectives by forecasting and developing annual sales budget for the responsible customer; projecting expected sales volume and profit for existing and new products.

What you bring:

The ideal candidate for this Contract Manager position brings a wealth of experience from heavy industries along with a strong educational background in Metallurgical Engineering, Materials Science, Mechanical Engineering or a related field. Your knowledge of steel production or refractory work will be highly advantageous. You should possess excellent communication skills in both English and Vietnamese. Your ability to perform under pressure in a fast-paced environment will be essential for success in this role.

  • University degree or post graduate in Metallurgical engineering/ Materials Science/ Mechanical Engineering / Industrial Engineering or related field.
  • 5-10 years previous managerial experience in heavy industries.
  • Knowledge of Steel Production or Refractory work is preferable.
  • Good Understanding of Product Manufacturing processes.
  • Proficiency in English & Vietnamese.
  • Ability to perform under pressure in a fast paced and changing working environment.
  • Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written) including the ability to work with senior level management.
