What you'll do:
As a Quality Manager based in Binh Duong, you will be entrusted with overseeing all aspects of the local Quality Department’s activities. Your day-to-day responsibilities will involve developing robust systems that foster continuous improvement while ensuring compliance with international standards such as ISO 9001 and ISO 13485. You will work collaboratively across multiple functions—NPI, R&D, Engineering, Manufacturing—to drive company-wide initiatives that elevate product reliability. By leading regular audits, managing customer complaints efficiently through root cause analysis techniques like 8D reports or Ishikawa diagrams, and implementing effective countermeasures, you will help sustain high-quality production processes. Your ability to plan strategically for long-term success while maintaining attention to detail in daily operations will be essential for achieving total quality performance. You’ll also play a key role in mentoring your team members through training programmes focused on best practices in precision machining technology and lean manufacturing principles.
- Establish, maintain, and enhance the Quality Management System (QMS), promoting quality awareness through targeted training sessions, relocation projects, and ongoing improvement initiatives.
- Drive plant-wide quality initiatives aligned with global standards by collaborating closely with NPI, R&D, Engineering, Manufacturing, and Sourcing teams.
- Develop and manage laboratory budgets for investments in personnel and measuring equipment to ensure optimal resource allocation for quality assurance activities.
- Plan and oversee production process quality planning for both plant operations and products supplied by approved vendors.
- Formulate long-term quality strategy plans in alignment with regional and global objectives, reinforcing a five-year vision for sustained excellence.
- Prepare monthly quality meetings with site management, regional leaders, and headquarters to review performance metrics and set actionable goals.
- Lead the QA team in Vietnam by providing guidance, encouragement, and proactive influence to maintain a strong organisational focus on total quality performance.
- Utilise KPIs and statistical analysis to identify areas for improvement in overall quality outcomes while driving cost savings within local operations.
- Prepare annual QA budgets including investments and manpower requirements; adjust plans as needed based on evolving business needs.
- Organise internal audits (process, product requalification) including ISO 9001/13485 preparations; analyse system weaknesses and implement corrective actions.
