QA Manager (PCB, PCBA)

The Quality Manager is responsible for developing, implementing, and leading quality control systems to ensure compliance with global standards in all stages of production, from IQC to OQC. The role also involves strategic quality planning and driving continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product and process quality, while collaborating with QMS teams to align with overarching quality standards.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

  1. Inspection & Monitoring
    • Supervise and audit IQC, IPQC, and OQC processes.
    • Ensure product quality and process assurance, including advanced quality plan and implementation.
    • Review and approve first article inspection reports and product evaluations.
  2. Customer Management
    • Manage customer quality windows and address issues promptly.
    • Collaborate with customers on quality-related issues and solutions.
    • Ensure timely submission of professional 8D reports.
    • Support customer-specific quality audits and requirements.
  3. Analysis & Continuous Improvement
    • Lead cross-functional teams in root cause analysis (DMAIC, 5Whys, etc.).
    • Implement CAPA for non-conforming materials/products.
    • Drive continuous improvement using Six Sigma methodologies.
    • Conduct regular audits of production lines.
  4. Leadership & Training
    • Train and mentor quality team members.
    • Promote a culture of quality, accountability, and improvement.
    • Provide strong people management across quality functions.
  5. Strategic Planning & KPI Management
    • Ensure product quality from design to mass production.
    • Develop and monitor product-specific quality assurance processes.
    • Identify and achieve KPI & COQ targets annually.
    • Plan Capex and headcount to support growth.
    • Build technical expertise in PCBA manufacturing processes.
  6. Cross-Department Collaboration
  • Act as focal point for managing conflicts between Quality and other departments.
  • Facilitate internal coordination to align quality objectives.
  • Support cross-functional teams during internal audits.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechatronics, Mechanics, Electronics, or Quality Management.
  • Minimum 7 years of experience in PCBA product quality management.
  • Familiarity with box build manufacturing and product-specific quality requirements.
  • Strong knowledge of ISO 9001:2015, IPC-A-610, and Six Sigma.
  • Experience with FMEA, SPC, MSA, CAPA processes.
  • Proficiency in Minitab/statistical software and Microsoft Office.
  • Excellent communication skills in English.
