Metallurgy Expert

Our client is a European industrial group with R&D and manufacturing of electro discharge machining wires, high technology solid and stranded wires, heat treatment of metals. The company is looking for an expert in Metallurgy to join the team.

About the Metallurgy Expert Role:

The Metallurgy Expert will report to Asia Business Leader and provide excellent technical expert about cooper alloys. The position shall be mainly base in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam with frequent travel to Europe.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop new copper alloys in order to support the development existing product lines
• Map copper alloys, applications, identify market prices and alloy specs
• Select the most promising alloys and applications, and for each of them, identify the relevant industrial setup
• Obtain approval from the Exco to develop such alloys
• Develop the approved copper alloys from A to Z and technically support the prospecting activities

To succeed in this role, you must have good communication skills in English.

Key Requirements:

• PhD in the field of metallurgy
• Good organisational skills, good project management skills
• Good interpersonal skills
• Able to take initiatives, autonomy
• Comfortable with all activities from design to mass production technical support
• Fluent in English
