Our client is seeking a Senior Electrical Design Engineer to join their team in Dong Nai. This role offers the opportunity to work on complex technical solutions, design and develop applications, and troubleshoot technical problems. You will have the autonomy to propose and develop innovative solutions within your technical domain. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing projects to ensure they are delivered on time and to specification.

What you'll do:
As a Senior Electrical Design Engineer, you will be at the forefront of designing and developing complex applications. Your role will involve calculating and designing electrical systems for machines, researching new electrical functions, ensuring compliance with industry safety standards, coding and debugging programs for machine systems, preparing engineering documents, creating electrical BOMs, performing costings for new equipment, collaborating across departments, providing engineering support, and leading junior engineers.
- Design and calculate electrical systems for machines
- Research and develop new electrical functions
- Ensure compliance with industry safety and design standards
- Code and debug programs for machine systems
- Prepare and review engineering documents such as drawings, QC check sheets, work instructions etc.
- Create electrical Bill of Materials (BOM)
- Perform costing for new equipment
- Collaborate across departments
- Provide internal and external engineering support
- Lead and train junior engineers
What you bring:
The ideal candidate for the Senior Electrical Design Engineer role will bring a wealth of experience in equipment design. With a degree in Electrical Engineering or similar from a reputable Technical University, you will have spent 5-10 years gaining practical experience in the field. Your knowledge of mining & construction equipment will be invaluable in this role. You will also possess excellent problem-solving skills, strong communication skills, proficiency in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office suite, and the ability to work effectively within a team.
- Graduated from Technical University with a major in Electrical Engineering or similar
- 5-10 years practical experience in equipment design
- Knowledge of mining & construction equipment
- Proficiency in oral and written English
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Excel & Word)
- Programming knowledge of CODESYS 2.3 & 3.5; FPWIN PRO
- Excellent problem-solving skills
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
