Country Manager (Renewable Energy)

Our client, a global leader in renewable energy, is seeking an experienced and qualified Country Manager to lead their operations in Vietnam. This role offers the unique opportunity to contribute to the transformation of traditional energy sources into sustainable and environmentally friendly alternatives. The successful candidate will have a proven track record in power, energy, wind plants, with exceptional interpersonal skills to build and maintain relationships with authorities and Government.

What you'll do

As the Country Manager, you will be at the forefront of our client's operations in Vietnam. Your role will encompass a wide range of responsibilities from managing budgets and human resources to sourcing PPAs and developing wind/solar plants. You will identify new potential renewable energy projects and opportunities for solar and wind projects. Your exceptional interpersonal skills will be crucial in building relationships with local and regional governmental bodies. Your involvement in all technical, legal, and commercial activities will be necessary for success.

What you bring:

The ideal Country Manager will bring a wealth of experience in power, energy or wind plants. You will have a proven track record of delivering utility scale renewable energy projects in Vietnam. Your exceptional interpersonal skills will enable you to build strong relationships with authorities and Government. You will have a good understanding of renewable energy project development processes and experience in bringing projects to financial close with a specific focus on PPA negotiations. A general understanding of land rights, licensing and permitting requirements for renewable power plants is also essential.

• Proven experience in power, energy or utility scale PV/wind plants.
• Track record of delivering utility scale renewable energy projects in Vietnam.
• Exceptional interpersonal skills for building relationships with authorities and Government.
• Understanding of renewable energy project development processes.
• Experience in bringing projects to financial close with focus on PPA negotiations.
• General understanding of land rights, licensing and permitting requirements for renewable power plants.
