An exciting Plant Director job has just become available at an international European pharmaceutical company, based in Vietnam. Reporting directly to the Regional VP, this is a role for a plant director who is a leader in their field.
About the Plant Director (Pharma) Role:
The Plant Director will be responsible for establishing a local and international compliant GMP facility achieving production, quality and financial targets. Additionally, he/she will be overseeing the project expansion to prepare the plant for the future business opportunities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assure smooth and efficient operation of plants in terms of
- Product quality
- Product availability as per market need
- Achieve targeted product costs
- Assure full compliance with all statutory requirements (local, international and the company)
- Quality system (GMP, PIC/S, ISO etc.)
- EHS requirements
- Other legal/ethical requirements
- Define concepts and strategies to prepare the plant unit for sustainable performance and implement the related agreed activities, including for example optimisation of production processes with lean manufacturing concepts
- Build and develop strong plant team to support the long term development and strategy of the company
- Assure achievement of agreed short and long term goals (quality, production, financial etc.)
- Drive continuous improvement of product, quality and process efficiency
- Implement development plans of employees and assure adequate succession planning
- Lead and manage key projects
- Assure adequate reporting and communication to Regional
- Cooperate and align with dotted line functions HR and quality
- Assure good cooperation with MU as internal customer and represent PU within legal entity
To succeed in this role, you must have good communication skills in English.
Key Requirements:
- Bachelor or master’s degree in pharmacy, engineering or related subjects
- At least eight years' experience in manufacturing management position
- Excellent managerial skills
- Full commitment to high ethical, quality and safety standards
- Excellent presentation and communication skills
- Familiar with multinational/multicultural environment
- Fluent communication in Vietnamese and English
- Familiar with requirements of Pharma/Medical industry in the Vietnamese market
- Experience in injectable manufacturing/aseptic processes preferred
- Experience in Product Transfer/NPI would be a plus
- Result oriented and knowledge in continuous improvement methods
