About the Public Affairs Director Role:

As the Public Affairs Director, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and executing our company's public affairs strategy. You will be responsible for building and maintaining positive relationships with external stakeholders, including government agencies, regulatory bodies, patient advocacy groups, healthcare organisations, and industry associations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Proactively engage with government officials, regulatory authorities, industry associations, patient advocacy groups, and other relevant stakeholders to influence policy decisions, promote our company's initiatives, and advocate for the advancement of healthcare and pharmaceutical innovation
• Monitor legislative and regulatory developments at national and international levels that could impact the pharmaceutical industry. Develop strategies to navigate and respond to these changes while advocating for policies that align with our company's objectives
• Develop and execute strategic communication plans that effectively convey our company's mission, values, and contributions to public health. Ensure consistent and compelling messaging across various channels to enhance our brand's reputation
• Lead the development of crisis communication strategies and provide guidance to cross-functional teams during times of public scrutiny or adverse events. Mitigate potential reputation risks and ensure transparent and effective communication
• Collaborate closely with internal teams including Legal, Regulatory Affairs, Medical Affairs, and Marketing to ensure alignment and integration of public affairs efforts with broader business goals
• Plan and execute advocacy campaigns that support key healthcare initiatives, addressing critical issues in collaboration with relevant stakeholders to drive positive change
• Position our company as a thought leader in the pharmaceutical industry by identifying opportunities for participation in industry events, conferences, and forums. Develop and support executives as spokespersons on relevant policy matters
• Navigate cultural, regulatory, and political nuances in different regions while maintaining a global perspective on pharmaceutical policy trends

To succeed int this role, you will need at least eight -10 years progressively responsible experience in public affairs, government relations, or related roles within the pharmaceutical or healthcare industries in Vietnam.

Key Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Public Relations, Public Affairs, Communications, Political Science, or related field; Master's degree preferred
• Minimum of eight -10 years of progressively responsible experience in public affairs, government relations, or related roles within the pharmaceutical or healthcare industries
• Strong understanding of global pharmaceutical regulations, policy landscape, and healthcare trends
• Proven track record of successful stakeholder engagement and advocacy efforts
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
• Crisis management experience and ability to maintain composure under pressure
• Leadership experience with the ability to manage teams and collaborate across functions
• Ability to think strategically, anticipate challenges, and drive solutions
• Proficiency in digital and social media platforms for communication purposes
• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as required
