An exciting Head of Medical Affairs job has arisen in a leading pharmaceutical firm in Ho Chi Minh City Vietnam.

About the Head of Medical Affairs Role:

Reporting to Group Head of Clinical Excellence, this role plays a pivotal role encompassing medical affairs and clinical services development within our organisation. Entails harmonising the strategic blueprint with hospital operations in clinical services development, clinical excellence, and education.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with GHCE and the Head of Clinical and Medical Operations (HCMO) for the recruitment of medical specialists
• Spearhead initiatives aimed at enhancing clinical governance
• Facilitate the hospital's involvement in accreditation and licensing activities
• Provide support to the Medical Director/PIC in matters concerning clinical governance, accreditation, and daily medical/clinical operations
• Engage in addressing complaints, MOH inquiries/complaints, and medico-legal cases in conjunction with HBOD
• Maintain consistent communication with the HCMO
• Participate actively in infection control committees and initiatives
• Identify and extend the scope of clinical services to enhance the breadth of offerings
• Develop resource strategies to sustain the growth of clinical services, including evaluation of technology and equipment, medical specialists, and collaboration with relevant stakeholders
• Oversee benchmarking projects, particularly concerning specific medical specialities
• Supervise the compilation of census data related to doctors' practice and clinical equipment
• Foster activities related to continuous medical education
• Participate in learning and development programs to stay updated with knowledge and skills pertinent to the role.
• Serve as a bridge between the hospital, its subsidiary/ies, and associated entity/ies, if applicable

To succeed in this role, you must have good communication skills in English.

Key Requirements:

• A track record of up to 10 years in related fields, including a minimum of three years in senior to top management leadership positions within medium to large and intricate private hospital operations
• Demonstrated leadership and expertise in managing complex organisational structures
• Proven success in crafting and implementing strategic and operational plans
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and general computer skills
• Meticulous attention to detail and a focus on quality
• Exceptional interpersonal skills
• Strong verbal and written communication abilities
• A proactive approach to tasks
• A degree in Medicine or Hospital Administration. A Master's in Health or Business Administration would be advantageous.
