An exciting Medical Affairs Manager job has arisen in a leading pharmaceutical firm in Ho Chi Minh City Vietnam.
About the Medical Affairs Manager Role:
Reporting to GM, your primary focus will be to provide medical insights, guidance, and support to ensure the successful development, launch, and post-market management of the company.
Key Responsibilities:
Serve as a medical expert within the organisation, offering insights and strategic input to cross-functional teams including research & development, marketing, regulatory affairs, and sales
Collaborate with internal stakeholders to develop and implement medical strategies aligned with business objectives for generic and consumer healthcare products
Provide medical guidance during product development phases, including clinical trials, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and ethical considerations
Stay up-to-date with medical literature, industry trends, and competitive landscape to provide informed recommendations on product positioning and differentiation
Develop and maintain relationships with key opinion leaders (KOLs), medical associations, and other relevant external stakeholders to enhance the company's credibility and influence in the medical community
Act as a resource for internal teams, answering medical inquiries, addressing concerns, and providing accurate information about our products
Contribute to the creation of medical and scientific content, including educational materials, presentations, and publications, to support healthcare professional's understanding of our products
Support the preparation and review of regulatory submissions, ensuring alignment with medical data and clinical evidence
Lead and participate in medical training sessions for internal teams, ensuring a clear understanding of product features, benefits, and appropriate usage
Monitor post-market activities, including adverse event reporting, and provide medical oversight for any required product recalls or safety alerts
To succeed in this role, you must have good communication skills in English.
Key Requirements:
Medical Doctor (M.D.) degree is required
A minimum of five years of experience in the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or healthcare industry, with a focus on medical affairs, clinical development, or related fields
Strong knowledge of pharmaceutical regulations and guidelines, including FDA, EMA, and ICH requirements
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey complex medical information to both internal and external audiences
Proven track record of building and maintaining relationships with KOLs and medical professionals
Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams and influence decisions with medical insights
Strong analytical and critical thinking skills, with the ability to interpret and communicate scientific data effectively
Detail-oriented and organised, with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities
Proficiency in medical literature research and analysis
Good English communication skills, both verbal and written
