An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Human Resources and Administration Manager to join a well-established organisation in Hồ Chí Minh. This role is perfect for someone who thrives in a collaborative environment, values supportive leadership, and is passionate about nurturing positive employee relations.

The successful candidate will play a pivotal part in shaping the company’s HR strategy, ensuring compliance with local labour laws, and fostering an inclusive workplace culture. With responsibilities spanning recruitment, payroll, performance management, administration, and procurement, you will be at the heart of the organisation’s operations. If you are looking for a position that offers flexible working opportunities, ongoing training, and the chance to make a real impact on both people and processes, this could be your next career move.

  • Play a key role in bridging management and employees by addressing demands, grievances, and supporting harmonious workplace relations through empathetic communication.
  • Oversee comprehensive HR functions including recruitment, payroll, social insurance, contract management, and performance appraisals while ensuring full compliance with Vietnamese labour law.
  • Enjoy a varied role that also covers administration management—such as asset control, office logistics, travel arrangements—and procurement of essential materials and equipment for all departments.

What you'll do:

As a Human Resources and Administration Manager based in Hồ Chí Minh, you will be entrusted with overseeing a wide spectrum of HR activities that are vital to the smooth functioning of the business. Your day-to-day will involve collaborating closely with department heads to identify staffing needs, managing payroll processes with accuracy, handling sensitive employee relations matters with empathy, and ensuring that all HR practices align with current legislation. You will also take charge of administrative functions such as asset management, office logistics, travel bookings for business trips, as well as procurement tasks required by various teams. Success in this role means being highly organised, approachable to colleagues at every level, responsive to evolving business requirements, and committed to upholding an inclusive work environment where everyone feels valued.

  • Manage the end-to-end recruitment and selection process to ensure the organisation attracts and retains top talent across all departments.
  • Monitor monthly salary calculations, personal income tax submissions, and prepare detailed HR reports for the Board of Directors and headquarters.
  • Oversee the implementation of social insurance procedures including enrolment changes, sickness claims, maternity leave processing, and accident insurance documentation.
  • Prepare annual staff cost budgets in collaboration with finance teams and submit accurate forecasts to support organisational planning.
  • Supervise the deployment and evaluation of HR software systems to enhance efficiency in human resources operations.
  • Administer all aspects of labour contracts from drafting new agreements to renewals, resignations, and terminations in strict accordance with Vietnamese Labour Law.
  • Act as a bridge between management and employees by addressing workplace issues promptly and compassionately to maintain positive relations.
  • Lead the performance appraisal system to encourage high achievement while providing constructive feedback and development opportunities for staff.
  • Implement internal policies by communicating procedures clearly across departments and consulting on regulatory compliance matters as needed.
  • Coordinate internal and external training programmes to support continuous professional development for all employees.

What you bring:

To excel as a Human Resources and Administration Manager in this organisation requires not only technical expertise but also genuine warmth in your approach towards others. Your proven track record in human resources roles demonstrates your ability to handle complex employment matters—from onboarding new hires through to managing exits—with tactful professionalism. You bring fluency in either English or Chinese which is invaluable when liaising with international colleagues or supporting expatriate staff. Your familiarity with local labour regulations means you can confidently navigate legal requirements while safeguarding both employee welfare and company interests. Beyond your technical know-how lies your capacity for empathetic listening; you understand how important it is for employees to feel heard during times of change or challenge. Your methodical approach ensures that administrative tasks are completed accurately while your collaborative spirit helps foster an atmosphere where teamwork flourishes.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management, Law or Foreign Languages provides you with a strong academic foundation for this multifaceted position.
  • A minimum of three years’ experience working within human resources ensures you have practical knowledge of best practices across recruitment, payroll administration, social insurance procedures and employee relations.
  • Proficiency in English or Chinese enables effective communication within an international team setting as well as when dealing with expatriate documentation.
  • Advanced skills using Microsoft Office Suite allow you to efficiently manage reports, budgets and correspondence related to HR operations.
  • Comprehensive understanding of Vietnamese labour law—including regulations on contracts, insurance schemes and personal income tax—ensures full compliance at all times.
  • Experience managing HR software systems supports streamlined processes for data management and reporting across multiple functions.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills empower you to build trust-based relationships throughout the organisation while resolving conflicts considerately.
  • Strong negotiation abilities help you mediate between different stakeholders’ interests while maintaining fairness and transparency.
  • Outstanding time management skills enable you to balance competing priorities effectively without compromising attention to detail or deadlines.
  • A high level of honesty combined with a sense of responsibility ensures that confidential information is handled sensitively at all times.
