We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Sales Capability Manager for a leading pharmaceutical firm in Ho Chi Minh City Vietnam.
About Sales Capability Manager Role:
The Sales Capability Manager will play a pivotal role in enhancing the sales team's performance and effectiveness through the development and implementation of comprehensive training programs and initiatives. Reporting directly to the Head of Commercial Excellence and collaborating closely with a field force of 200-300 sales professionals.
Key Responsibilities:
Collaborate with the Head of Commercial Excellence to develop a robust sales capability strategy aligned with the company's commercial objectives
Assess current sales capabilities, identify gaps, and propose strategic initiatives to enhance the skills, knowledge, and effectiveness of the sales team
Design, develop, and implement comprehensive training programs for sales professionals at all levels, incorporating both product knowledge and sales skills development
Utilise modern instructional design techniques to create engaging and effective training materials, including e-learning modules, workshops, and other relevant resources
Create and deliver high-quality training content, ensuring it is up-to-date, relevant, and in line with regulatory guidelines within the pharmaceutical industry
Foster a dynamic and interactive learning environment to maximise knowledge retention and skill application
Work closely with sales leadership to analyse sales performance metrics and identify areas for improvement
Utilise data-driven insights to tailor training initiatives that address specific sales challenges and opportunities
Provide individual coaching and mentorship to sales team members, assisting them in enhancing their selling techniques, communication skills, and customer interactions
Conduct regular performance assessments and offer constructive feedback for continuous improvement
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing, medical affairs, and regulatory, to ensure that sales training materials are accurate and compliant with industry standards
Stay up-to-date with learning and development technologies to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of training delivery
Leverage digital tools and platforms to facilitate remote and self-paced learning
Establish a robust system for monitoring and evaluating the impact of training initiatives on sales performance
Regularly review and refine training programs based on feedback, results, and evolving business needs
To succeed in this role, you must have good communication skills in English.
Key Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Business, Life Sciences, Pharmacist or a related field. Advanced degree is a plus
Minimum of three years of experience in sales training and development within the pharmaceutical or healthcare industry
Strong understanding of pharmaceutical sales processes, regulations, and compliance requirements
Proven track record of designing and implementing effective sales training programs
Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret sales data and trends
Proficiency in learning management systems and e-learning authoring tools
Previous experience in coaching and mentoring sales teams
Innovative thinker with the ability to adapt to changing market dynamics
Certifications in instructional design, training facilitation, or related fields are advantageous
