Legal Counsel

One of the world’s biggest group in manufacturing and production industry based in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam is calling applications for Legal Counsel.

About the Legal Counsel:

You will report directly to Managing Director Vietnam. You will work on legal and compliance issues of the company, particularly focusing on legal contracts and legal matters related to the industry.

Key Responsibilities:

• Represent the Managing Director on communicating with all departments in the company and particularly follows up on the compliance of all departments as the company procedures.
• Provide advices and legal information to Managing Director and Heads of Departments regarding to all business issues.
• Review all kinds of contract and agreement in term of legal to make sure it comply with Vietnam law and protect the company from risks.
• Keep the Managing Director updated with the new regulations, legislation issued by the governments of Vietnam and other countries.
• Represent company in front of court for any lawsuit.
• Provide Managing Director with some administration tasks

To succeed in this Legal Counsel position, you should have at least five years solid legal and compliance experience in a corporate environment.

Key Requirements:

• At least five year-experience working in foreign companies at the same position (in-house legal officer/specialist in foreign law firms)
• LL.B / LL.M. Having legal practising certificate is advantage
• Solid knowledge of current business law and related procedures (experience in M&A is added advantage)
• Excellent English and presentation skill
• Strong communication and interpersonal skill
• Strong problem-solving skill, analytical thinking
• Time and task management skill
• Good organisational, research and secretarial skill
• Good at Microsoft Office applications
• Open-minded, dynamic, pro-active, well-groomed
• Careful and service-minded character
