Legal and Compliance Director

A market leader in the financial services industry based in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam is calling for applications for Legal and Compliance Director.

About the Legal and Compliance Director role:

You will report directly to CEO Vietnam. This position will regulate and control legal activities in company, ensure that the company operates and in accordance with regulations and the law.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide legal consultancy to the Board of Directors, Chief Executive Officer and all business units
• Guide the application of law and control the legal compliance in all activities of the institution
• Appraise the legality and compliance of documents and contracts of the institution
• Coordinate with related all teams and departments in anti money laundering activities
• Manage and develop representative office network of the institution
• Build-up, maintain and develop relationships with government authorities at state and local where the institution operates
• Support business units to work with government authorities to solve problems in operation of the institution
• To submit reports to the State Bank of Vietnam according to current regulations including regular and irregular reports
• Recruit, manage, train, develop and evaluate all employees of legal & compliance department
• Undertake other tasks assigned by CEO and Board of Directors

To succeed in this Legal and Compliance Director position, you should have 10 years' working experience in legal and compliance in financial services companies. You should be proactive, innovative and entrepreneurial.

Key Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree or higher in Laws
• Proven knowledge of banking process
• Excellent knowledge of laws & compliance
• Leadership skills
• Negotiation, interpersonal communication skills
• Result oriented
• Open, friendly, collaborative
• Fluent in both Vietnamese and English
