A challenging new position of Country Head (Legal) has become available in a new player in Vietnam based in Hanoi, Vietnam.

About the Country Head (Legal):

Company is opening an office in Vietnam and is looking for a sharp, self-motivated individual to head the office. This position reports to the Regional SEA Director (Legal), and will work closely with SEA regional office based in Singapore. The successful candidate is expected to have to develop a good network of contacts with the government as well as the music industry.

Key Responsibilities:

• Identifying legal policy areas, as well as the licensing framework, that require action
• Developing an effective action plan
• Working closely with government officials and industry stakeholders to forge change
• Building up and nurturing a network of advocates and supporters
• Bringing record producers together in an association to form a national group
• Developing and building up the collective licensing work for recorded music
• Drive and coordinate enforcement activity
• Promote and market charts and certifications

To succeed in this Country Head (Legal) position, you should have minimum eight years' working experience.

Key Requirements:

• Be a qualified lawyer in Vietnam with at least 8 years PQE, preferably with experience in music law
• Have a good working knowledge of the international music and related rights framework, preferably in relation to the music industry
• Be a fluent Vietnamese and English speaker
• Have excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Be a strong relationship-builder, preferably with a good network of contacts in the music ecosystem in government and industry
• Possess good analytical skills, with a keen eye for detail
• Be a self-starter, who can multi-task with ease
• This position is planned to be based in Hanoi. Domestic travel can be expected, particularly between Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City. Some international travel can also be expected.

The company is in the professional services industry, headquarters in Europe and regional team in Vietnam.
