A challenging new position of Regional Corporate Counsel has become available in a pharmaceuticals company based in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam.

About the Regional Corporate Counsel:

This position will report into the Regional Senior Director, Legal. The Regional Corporate Counsel has responsibility for providing legal support for the local operations in different markets in APAC region and is expected to maximise, enable, guide and protect company in those markets, and to help advance business objectives of company in those markets.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support the Regional Senior Director, Legal as legal business partner on a variety of legal matters for the commercial, finance, tax, HR, manufacturing functions and other business support teams within the region; provide general commercial advice and legal support to the business organisations as needed
• Negotiate and draft a range of agreements, including distribution, supply, service, consulting, marketing and sales agreements and various other agreements
• Draft correspondence and corporate documents such as communications with regulators, board minutes and shareholders’ meeting minutes
• Prepare and provide compliance training to the business on a variety of compliance topics (anti-bribery and anti-corruption, competition (or anti-trust) law, privacy and similar), including drafting and updating Standard Operation Procedures and similar
• Counsel and advise respective marketing teams, provide regulatory law support and review promotional materials
• May assist in managing providing litigation support
• Must be resilient and able work alone and autonomously

To succeed in this Regional Corporate Counsel position, you should have minimum 10 years' working experience and at least four years of legal experience required in private practice at a reputable law firm.

• Excellent command of English, both written and verbal
• Education: Law degree
• Strong capacity for teamwork
• Highly organised and detailed oriented, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and independently
• High-energy self-starter who can function autonomously is receptive to feedback and continuous improvement mindset and completes deliverables on time and well
• High inter-personal skill level required across diverse cultures and stakeholder levels and manner
• Ability to exercise independent thinking while communicating in a collaborative manner
• Excellence in MS PowerPoint and Word
• Optimistic outlook and friendly demeanour with a dynamic work ethic
