Legal Manager

Ho Chi Minh City - On-site

The Company is seeking a qualified Legal Counsel to manage legal matters related to commercial activities in Vietnam. This role will ensure compliance with laws, advise management, and minimize legal risks for corporate, operations, commercial and sales business units.

Reporting to: Head of Legal department

What you will do:

• Ensure compliance with Vietnamese laws, regulations, and company policies in contracts, agreements, and transactions.
• Provide legal counsel on distribution, advertising and marketing including promotion activites, operations for supply chain, labor law and other legal fieds as the activites require to do so.
• Be hands-on on some complex legal matters as well as administrative tasks
• Draft and review contracts and other legal documents to protect the Company’s interests.
• Manage contract lifecycle, including negotiation and execution.
• Develop new templates for various agreements if needed.
• Advise the Head of Department on recommended strategies and risk management.
• Collaborate and communicate with external parties and counsels.
• Collaborate with the required other business units and provide legal updates.
• Represent the Company in legal matters with courts and authorities.
• Support in conducting employee training and ensuring internal policies are into force.

What you need to bring:

• University degree in Law
• Minimum 8 years of experience in-house in MNC or Law Firm with a first experience in-house
• Fluent in English and Vietnamese
• Strong in working independantly
• Previous experience with all range of legal matters to support commercial, operations and sales teams in all legal and compliance matters
• Previous experience in collaborating with external law firm and raising the right questions and assessment on the advice received
• Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills with all levels of internal and external stakeholders
• Strong time management and prioritization
