Legal Counsel - Manufacturing

Location: Thu Duc - Saigon High-Tech Park - On-site Monday to Friday

The Legal Counsel position involves providing comprehensive legal advice and support to a global organization within the technology and manufacturing industry. This role focuses on mitigating legal, liability, financial, and reputational risks by handling various legal documents, contracts and agreements with customers, partners and suppliers.

Key Responsibilities:

• Legal Advisory: Provide solicited and unsolicited legal advice to the organization and support global entities when necessary. Address legal issues related to contracts, general business matters, and compliance.

• Contract Management: Conduct legal reviews and assessments of a wide range of commercial contracts, including sales, supply, partnership, service, confidentiality, consultancy, and intellectual property agreements. Draft and maintain standard contractual documents and legal policies.

• Compliance and Training: Develop and implement data privacy policies and procedures, ensure compliance with legal standards, and provide legal and compliance training to managers and employees.

• Documentation and Policy Dissemination: Ensure all legal documentation is current and accessible. Communicate and disseminate legal policies and guidelines throughout the organization.

• Proactive Legal Risk Management: Stay updated with changes in international and national laws and regulations to ensure timely compliance.

Requirements:

• A university degree in Law is required; a Master's degree in Law is preferred.

• Minimum 5 years of legal experience, combining law firm and in-house in an international manufacturing company

• Previous experience working on expansion of factories

• Having worked and negotiated with foreign suppliers would be a plus

• Strong contract drafting and negotiation skills

• Excellent stakeholder management and communication abilities
• Fluent in Vietnamese and English
