Associate Legal Manager

Assistant Legal Manager – Hanoi An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Assistant Legal Manager to join a well-established organisation in Hanoi. In this role, you will support the business across a wide range of legal and compliance matters, working closely with cross-functional teams to provide practical advice and ensure sound governance.

What you’ll do

• Draft, review, and negotiate various commercial contracts (supply, distribution, project, and service agreements) to ensure alignment with business objectives and compliance with regulations.

• Advise internal teams on legal and regulatory requirements, including competition law, IP, data protection, and employment law.

• Review marketing and promotional materials for legal compliance.

• Support dispute resolution and litigation, including preparing documentation and working with external law firms.

• Conduct contract audits and develop risk mitigation strategies.

• Deliver training sessions on compliance, data protection, and corporate governance to ensure company-wide understanding.

• Monitor regulatory updates and provide practical legal guidance to relevant departments.

• Assist in policy review, compliance initiatives, and internal investigations as required.

What you bring

• 5-8 years of experience in commercial law or in-house legal roles within multinational corporations or leading law firms.

• Licensed lawyer in Vietnam with a law degree from a reputable university.

• Strong experience in contract drafting, negotiation, and corporate advisory; exposure to dispute resolution preferred.

• Solid understanding of Vietnam’s legal and regulatory environment.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills in both English and Vietnamese.

• High attention to detail, strong analytical and organisational abilities.

• A proactive, business-minded approach with sound judgment and professionalism.
