Legal Counsel

A multinational medical devices company is seeking a Legal Counsel to support manufacturing operations, supply chain, and business expansion in Dong Nai. You will work closely with APAC and global teams, providing legal advice on compliance, contracts, and strategic projects including factory expansion and technology transfer. This role offers flexible working, strong leadership support, and continuous development opportunities.

What you'll do:

  • Advise internal teams on legal risks across manufacturing, supply chain, and operations
  • Support legal and compliance matters for expansion projects, new production lines, and technology transfers
  • Act as local legal contact, coordinating with APAC and global stakeholders
  • Draft, review, and negotiate contracts (suppliers, logistics, construction, NDAs, distribution, etc.)
  • Develop and standardise contract templates and processes
  • Ensure compliance with medical device regulations, GMP, EHS, anti-bribery, and data protection
  • Conduct legal due diligence for partnerships and investments
  • Support internal investigations and manage disputes with external counsel
  • Participate in key meetings (Board/project committees) when required.

What you bring:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Law and Vietnam Bar qualification
  • Minimum 5 years’ legal experience (in-house or law firm)
  • Experience in MNCs and manufacturing environments preferred
  • Strong exposure to supply chain, procurement, EHS, or construction/projects
  • Experience with labour relations or union matters is a plus
  • Strong contract drafting and negotiation skills
  • Familiarity with regulatory authorities is an advantage
  • Fluent in English (Japanese is a plus)
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail
  • Willingness to travel when required.
