SENIOR LAWYER (12 years PQE minimum)

Our client, a highly respected international law practice and 1st tier in its country of origin, is seeking an experienced and motivated Senior Lawyer to join their dynamic team in Ho Chi Minh City. Location: District 1, Ho Chi Minh City Fully on-site

What you'll do:

• Provide legal support and advisory to clients according to the standard of the firm on various matters including, but not limited to, cross border investments (FDI), commercial law, M&A, labor law, employment law, M&A, banking and finance, infrastructure, real estate and more.
• Manage legal projects independently by leading and supervising Associates and reporting directly to clients
• Perform other legal and management tasks as assigned by Managing Partner
• Train junior lawyers in practical and theoretical aspects of transactional and advisory work
• Control the output quality of legal advice and other work products of the firm
• Liaise with relevant authorities for licensing and other external affairs activites as needed
• Develop the firm’s business and professional practice through business development activites (e.g. taking part in networking event to represent the firm).

What you bring:

• Certified graduate from a renowned Vietnamese university in Vietnam
• Lawyer quaification certificate/bar admission from Vietnam (foreign education and qualification are a plus but Vietnamese qualification is mandatory)
• Knowledge and experience in various legal fields including complex cross-border matters
• Excellent oral and written skills in English and Vietnamese
• Ability to manage team members/junior lawyers in assigned projects
• Ability to work in an international multi-cultural team
• High sense of responsibility and ownership
