About the Senior Associate Role:

You will report directly to the Partners. In general, overseeing all areas of practice and supporting the activities of the junior Associates / Legal Assistants to deal with all legal issues raised by clients.

Key Responsibilities:

• Advising on Banking and Finance matter such as Project Finance, Lenders and Borrowers advice on financing deals; drafting Finance documents and other activities from the Banking and Finance practice team; preparing legal advice, legal opinion, transaction structuring advice, due diligence report, transaction documentation and all related tasks; representing the clients in liaising and working with the relevant authorities to seek related information and handle regulatory issues. The Senior Associate will be working in conjunction with a team of Vietnamese lawyers and foreign Partners.
• Managing client caseload in collaboration with the team and ensuring that all legal deliverable (including advice, assistance, report, information and representation work) meet all regulated requirements and is of high quality before submitting to Counsels/Partners for their review.
• Providing advice, guidance and mentoring to the junior Associates/Legal Assistant to ensure they approach their work with professionalism and due care, and in a manner that maintains the good reputation of company in the community.
• Other tasks as required by upper-managerial positions on a case by case.

Key Requirements:

• A minimum of 7 years of practice (more senior candidates can be considered) in Top Tier Firms local or international
• Bachelor degree of Law and Vietnamese Lawyer Practising Certificate in Vietnam are a must
• Previous working experience or studies overseas is preferred
• Previous experience providing legal advice on Banking & Finance
• Strong proficiency in English and Vietnamese
