Junior Associate (Corporate M&A)

Our partner - An established international law firm is seeking a Junior Associate to join its Corporate M&A practice in Ho Chi Minh City. This role offers strong exposure to high-value domestic and cross-border transactions across sectors. You will work in a supportive, collaborative environment with access to ongoing training and mentorship, making this an excellent opportunity to develop your transactional expertise.

What you’ll do:

• Conduct in-depth legal research on Vietnamese laws and regulations to provide robust support for complex transactional matters.

• Handle legal due diligence for M&A transactions, proactively identifying and assessing material legal risks.

• Draft, review, and refine core transaction documents.

• Manage licensing and regulatory filings related to corporate transactions, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely submissions.

• Deliver high-quality legal translations and meticulous proofreading of Vietnamese–English documentation to support cross-border transactions.

• Engage with relevant authorities and stakeholders, supporting client communications in coordination with senior lawyers.

• Work closely with cross-practice teams to deliver seamless, integrated legal support on multi-disciplinary transactions.

What you bring:

• Vietnamese Qualified Lawyer with an LL.B or higher.

• 3-5 years at reputable law firms, in M&A and corporate-related practices. Exposure to Banking & Finance is a huge plus.

• Strong command of English, written and spoken.

• Solid experience in legal research, drafting transaction documents, and supporting licensing work.

• High attention to detail, strong organisational skills, and a collaborative mindset.
