Foreign-Qualified Lawyer - Business Development (Part-Time)

Qualified Lawyer only - full BD scope - part time

Introduction

Our client is an international law firm seeking a foreign-qualified lawyer with a valid bar licence to support its business development and practice development initiatives on a part-time basis.

What you will do

• Support Partners in implementing practice and BD strategy, translating priorities into concrete initiatives and follow-ups.

• Coordinate and report to the regional BD team as well as to the Managing Partner in Vietnam

• Develop and coordinate client-facing content, including legal updates, newsletters, briefings and market insights, ensuring accuracy, relevance and commercial tone.

• Monitor legal, regulatory and market developments relevant to the practice and help convert them into client-friendly communications.

• Coordinate and support client seminars, webinars, roundtables and training sessions, including content preparation and post-event follow-up.

• Assist with practice development initiatives, such as pitches, credentials, presentations and client relationship materials.

• Support internal training and knowledge-sharing activities, including updates and briefing sessions for lawyers.

• Act as a coordination point between partners, lawyers and marketing or external service providers on BD and practice development matters.

• Where appropriate, contribute legal insight to BD discussions without acting as a primary fee-earner.

What you will bring

• Qualification as a foreign lawyer with a current, valid bar licence in your country of origin.

• Solid background in private practice or an in-house legal environment.

• A genuine interest in business development and practice development, rather than full-time fee-earning legal work.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to produce clear, credible and commercially focused materials.

• Ability to work independently, manage priorities and collaborate effectively with partners and senior stakeholders.

• Commercial awareness, attention to detail and a structured working style.

• Comfort operating in a part-time, flexible role within a professional services environment.

• Based in Vietnam or able to relocate in short notice
