Introduction

A leading international law firm is seeking a Senior Associate to join its Corporate Mergers & Acquisitions practice in Hanoi.

This role offers exposure to sophisticated cross-border work, close collaboration with international offices, and the opportunity to take on significant responsibility within a top-tier corporate practice.

What You Will Do

• Advise clients on M&A, including public and private M&A transactions

• Act on private equity investments, exits, and portfolio company matters

• Support and lead major corporate restructurings, reorganisations and migrations

• Advise on joint ventures, strategic partnerships, and general corporate matters

• Assist on capital markets–related corporate work, as relevant to transactions

• Provide general corporate law advice, including governance and compliance matters

• Handle corporate (pre-)litigation aspects linked to transactional matters when needed

• Draft, review, and negotiate transaction documentation

• Conduct and manage legal due diligence processes

• Coordinate with colleagues across regional and international offices

• Supervise and mentor junior lawyers and trainees, as appropriate

What You Will Bring

• Qualification as a Lawyer in Vietnam

• 8–10 years of experience in private practice at a reputable international or top-tier local law firm

• Strong experience in cross-border M&A and private equity transactions

• Solid understanding of Vietnamese corporate law and regulatory framework

• Excellent drafting, analytical, and negotiation skills

• Ability to manage complex transactions with limited supervision

• Strong client-facing skills and commercial awareness

• Fluent English (written and spoken); Vietnamese language skills are a strong advantage

• A collaborative mindset with the maturity expected at senior associate level
