An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Assistant Product Marketing Manager to join a dynamic team. This role is perfect for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is passionate about product management, particularly within the automotive lubricant products sector. The successful candidate will be responsible for the operational management of the passenger car & motorcycle motor oil (PCMO & MCO) product portfolio.

What you'll do:

As an Assistant Product Marketing Manager, you will play a pivotal role in managing the lifecycle of our diverse range of products. From coordinating with our dedicated R&D Centre post-design phase to ensuring that each product rollout maintains the highest quality, your responsibilities will be varied and impactful. You will also ensure that all products comply with both global and local regulations while preserving the consistency of our brand image. Your ability to coordinate various stakeholders will be crucial in driving our Design-to-Cost initiative.

  • Manage product lifecycle from new product launch to termination, including coordination with operation team on phase-in phase-out and termination of products
  • Coordinate product development status with the R&D Centre after design phase is completed
  • Ensure rollout of products adapted to local requirements, managing packaging labels, standards, and regulatory requirements
  • Maintain compliance with global and local regulations; be responsible for product standards and regulatory registration and liaising with additive suppliers
  • Preserve brand image consistency through adequate product labels and packages
  • Coordinate label artworks modification and liaise with stakeholders for timely output
  • Manage overall quality of each product rollout
  • Coordinate company’s Design-to-Cost initiative: Ensuring input from various stakeholders (R&D, Product, Supply Chain) involved are consolidated and disseminated to the responsible functions

What you bring:

The ideal candidate for this Assistant Product Marketing Manager role will bring a wealth of experience in product management technical service functions within the automotive lubricant products sector. Holding a degree in Engineering, you will have a strong understanding of automotive oil product management. Your knowledge in lubricant/chemical product formulation and test analysis results will be highly beneficial. Above all, your teamwork-oriented mindset and proactive self-starter attitude will set you apart.

  • At least 3 years’ experience in the product management technical service functions of automotive lubricant products, petroleum additives/Chemicals, or base oil
  • Degree holder in Engineering
  • Experience in automotive oil product management is highly desirable
  • Knowledge in lubricant/chemical product formulation and test analysis results is advantageous
  • Teamwork oriented mindset
  • Proactive self-starter attitude
