Following the launch of Robert Walters’ Salary Survey 2018 – Greater China & South East Asia, Adrien Bizouard, Country Manager of Robert Walters Vietnam spoke about the key employment trends in Vietnam in an interview with FBNC on 07 December 2017.
He summarised that the job market next year will remain active with high recruitment needs due to the high rise in foreign investment source, new enterprises and the shift of processing to Vietnam. As a result, professionals at middle to senior levels moving jobs are set to get salary increments of 20%.
He also mentioned that digitalisation continued to be a business priority across most sectors in Vietnam, boosting demand for IT experts proficient in cloud computing, information security and application design. Most sectors benefit from digitalisation trend, such as IT professionals are in great demand. In financial sector, various banks invest strongly in fintech whilst many companies hire more software developers. Digital platforms are the basis to develop marketing industry.
Additionally, he noted demand for local candidates with international experience and excellent command of both Vietnamese and English is set to continue in 2018. Robert Walters Vietnam’s “Come Home Pho Good” campaign has helped many companies identify and hire skilled returning Vietnamese talents from overseas back to Vietnam.
